Also, try to avoid the use of too many adjectives. For example, ‘brilliant’ can be overused, so instead use active words that convey the message you want to send such as ‘Dr Jones used this equipment to study malaria’.
Before submitting your news update for approval, have someone else read it to ensure that it is clear and concise. This is especially important for print pieces that have a standard format, such as newspapers or magazine articles.
